I made this last fall as a craft during a Pinterest night at my church, and oh my – does it ever deliver!! It scented my whole house while simmering on the stove. I can’t wait to get my hands on a bag of fresh cranberries so we can make it again! It’s a super simple recipe to bring holiday scent into your home without inhaling any icky toxins or chemicals. It also lasts forever on the stovetop, and makes a lovely gift (see this post with recipe + gift delivery ideas)
Stovetop Holiday Potpourri
One orange, quartered (whole if gifting)
1/2 C. fresh cranberries
1 Tbs whole cloves
3 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. grated nutmeg
Place all ingredients in a small saucepan filled with water. Simmer on low, refilling water as needed.
Instructions (include if gifting): “Quarter the orange and place all ingredients in a small saucepan filled with water. Simmer on lowest setting, refilling water as needed.”
What’s your favorite fall/holiday scent to use in your home?
