Actively plan for a quiet night after the kids are in bed – even though it’s late and there are projects to check off and floors to clean and plans to make and and and… You need this – you need rest and refilling. So mark your calendar and keep this appointment! Make a cup of hot cocoa or tea. Light the room only by the Christmas tree lights and maybe a favorite scented candle, and curl up under a quilt. Use these few quiet moments to breathe, slowly and deeply, and reflect on what this season of gratitude and miracles means to you.

Ooh yes, I do too. Makes a HUGE difference to take some time, doesn’t it?
