This weeks prompt: TOGETHER
GO:
Sitting on the couch next to a friend I’ve only met over the internet, we laugh and hug. We have known one another through our words, and doesn’t that where the power in relationship begins? Whether online or next door, words are our beginning.
In the sharing of your little moments, in the acceptance of mine, we know each other. I know you love pumpkin, and you take your coffee with flavored creamer. I know you lost your pregnancy, your job, your way, because you trusted me with your story and I listened to it. When I log on at 10:00, in the quiet of my sleeping home, I know you’ll be there waiting, because this is just what we do.
Together we have opened ourselves to and created community.

This might be my favorite ever of your FMF posts. 🙂 Wish I was sitting on the couch next to you and the rest of my online ladies in my jammies this weekend. If, at some point, you feel hugged, but no one is next to you, it’s me. 🙂
I’m sure there are a lot of women who fit into this story with you, but I am glad to be able to see myself in it. You are a wonderful friend, online and off. 🙂
I love you so, friend. You’re one of my favorite reasons for the internet. I wish you were here too, or that I was there, or that we were just somewhere in our jammies together =) Grateful for all that you’ve brought to my life.
Bravo for connecting with that internet friend! Enjoy the conference and the togetherness.
love thinking about that… words are the beginning…
and God said, “Let there be…”
enjoyed what you shared today! enjoy the conference!
Wonderful post…I love how a strong community of friends can be found in all sorts of places, many unexpected!
I love the simple truth of your words in this post. Without the honesty of the words that connect us and that make us vulnerable and alive, there cannot be any genuine relationship between us and others.
Thank you for sharing your heart in your words here on this blog; and with those with whom you have connected and formed community.
I loved this when you read last night! Would love to grab a hug this weekend!
Yes, this. The opening of ourselves. The trust in others. That is the beginning of relationships, the beginning of community. We find it here, just as we do in real life. Thank you for *your* openness.
Hi Anna, I’ve been reading your blog for awhile. I found out that Minneapolis is starting its own Moms’ blog, Twin Cities Moms’ Blog, with contributions from various bloggers. When I found that out, I thought you’d be perfect for it. They launch the moms’ blog in January. See http://www.scottsdalemomsblog.com/ for the very first site to see what it’s all about.
Here’s the blurb from their facebook page. To all of you who “like” our page! Thank you, we are thrilled that you are getting the word out and are curious to learn more about Twin Cities Moms Blog We are still on the hunt for contributors..Moms that like to write/blog and want to be part of our community. We want ALL types of Moms, so if you know of a MN blogger that you love, send us their name and a link to their blog. Comment below or email us at info@twincitiesmomsblog.com Thanks and happy Friday!
Just so good. Glad we met in real life once too! 🙂
