My little boy LOVES the Polar Express. We watch the movie and read the book year round, he sings the songs, and pretends to be ON the Polar Express whenever he’s in a moving vehicle. For Christmas/his birthday this year, I am dying to take him on a ‘real’ Polar Express ride! Lucky for us, there are tons of options in our area! {Not local? No worries – I can’t travel because baby, and my DIY Polar Express plans are included in this list of options!}

The DIY, Less Stress Version
Any day, any time
Put children to bed at 6:00 wearing cute jammies. Wake children up ten minutes later with recorded train whistle. Pile into car that has been decorated with twinkle lights and hand out cookies + cocoa. Proceed to tour amazing Christmas light displays while listening to the Polar Express on a CD. As children exit vehicle, hand them special Polar Express bell.

^^ that one is my super-pregnant/new baby plan for this year. I’m also going to see if there’s anywhere to meet Santa in the evening, and we may pick up a passenger or two just for fun =)

How’s that for fun?! And if a nicely organized spreadsheet of all your options is more your jam, check this out. =) Create your own special memories and plans, friends, whatever and however works for your family. Enjoy!
